i.e., I played in a $1-$2 no limit money match at a local spot. I limped in with 2, 9 unsuited on the croupier marker, just to see a little excitement. Flop arrived A-A-4. A gambler in early position placed a fifteen dollar bet. Two individuals drop out and it was now my turn to act. I should have folded, but his game play seemed a tiny bit odd. I ID’d this guy as a weak-tight individual, and normally if he held the best hand he would just check, so I called.

The turn showed with a 7, making it A-A-4-7. My competitor made an additional bet of $20. I deliberated for a while, but decided to re-raise another $30thirty dollars over and above his $20. He folds and I won the money.

Wagering at late position gives you an insight into where you sit by observing how enthusiasts behave and wager. On the other hand, players at starting position can use their poker spot to check-raise the last seated competitors and trap them later at the end. In Texas Hold’em, both spots, last and early should be wagered carefully.
